Way better than what I can do.

Awesome! :D

Half-assed toning is better than anything I can do! XD I liiike it. I usually end up drawing my own backgrounds in. Lately I've found that watercolors are easy BGs, too.

And oh noes, the table!
By the way, can you explain again to me how you shrink your file size again? I tried it, but I don't have the option of copying a picture in Word, and I'm not sure exactly what you meant by pasting it to the desktop...Urgh. Sorry about this! I'd just really like to be able to post here.

Go to www.photobucket.com and register, then upload your pictures in there and you can edit it there too. When you're finished, go to the managing of the comics and put in the link provided for it.

Quick quick question, if anybody knows the answer:

There's two parts to "file size," right? I mean, the space used on the hard drive versus the actual picture's size. If I were to go into MS Paint and quickly shrink it just on the screen (visually), would that allow me to upload it here? If that's the case, I can easily do that, but I get the feeling that I'll need to follow the SJ Compression Guide in the end.

It may work...I don't really a whole lot about how it works. Sometimes when I change the image size the file gets smaller and other times it gets bigger...>.>

But for your question on Word. To bring in a picture you have to go to the top and choose 'Insert' then scroll down to 'Picture'. That will bring up more selections. Go to 'From file...' and then choose the picture you want.

Once you have it on word just right click (on the picture) and go down to 'copy'. Then go to your desktop, right click and choose 'paste'.

But really, in the end it's probably easier to upload your picture into photobucket.

All right! I've successfully shrunk the file size down to 534kb, which is still too big, but much much close to what it needs to be. The problem is that I can't seem to get it any smaller. I suspect it has something to do with color, but I'm not sure.

I did manage to figure out how to do it in Word on my own, though your instructions REALLY helped. Instead of 'picture' I have 'graphics', and I couldn't figure out at first how to even get to the tools TO shrink it.

So I basically tried every button that sounded like it might offer something, and I got it...eventually. I've got the process written out on an index card, so I don't forget how. :D

But to sum it all up, I'm going to try to figure out further how to shrink it to the right size. I need to to SOMEthing with the color, I think.
